To ensure compatibility, please check the part number indicated in the engine manual or on the original key. Alternatively, tell us the exact model of the engine and we will be happy to assist you.
Non-original keys may not have the same electrical and mechanical characteristics as original keys. This could cause starting problems, short circuits, or damage to the engine's electrical system. In addition, their durability and corrosion resistance may be lower.
After each use, dry the key thoroughly and store it in a dry place protected from salt spray. You can also apply a specific protective spray for electrical contacts for greater protection.
The ignition key part number is usually printed on the key itself, or it is listed in the engine's user manual. Alternatively, you can contact our customer service by providing the engine model and we will be happy to help you identify the correct code.
Generally, ignition keys are specific to a particular engine model. Using the wrong key may not start the engine or, worse, damage the ignition system.
In this case, it is advisable to contact a specialized mechanic to extract the key fragment and replace the ignition switch if necessary. Attempting to extract the fragment yourself could further damage the lock.
