43.80 €Technically yes, but it is strongly discouraged. Truck horns are designed for road use and are not resistant to marine corrosion. In addition, the sound may be excessively powerful and disturb marine wildlife.
For an inflatable boat, a battery-powered portable megaphone with a power of 5-10W is sufficient. Make sure it is lightweight, compact, and splash-proof. Models with an external microphone are more convenient to use.
First, check that the power supply is correct (fuse, wiring). If the horn is electric, check that there are no oxidations on the contacts. If the horn is pneumatic, check that the compressor is working correctly. If the problem persists, it is advisable to replace the horn.
