Is this anode suitable for my Yamaha 40/60?

Verify the original part number on your old anode or consult your engine manual. Alternatively, measure the dimensions of the anode and compare them with those indicated in the product description. If you have any doubts, contact us with the precise model of your engine.

How often should anodes be replaced?

The replacement frequency depends on usage conditions and water salinity. In general, it is advisable to check the anodes every 6 months and replace them at least once a year, or when they are more than 50% consumed.

Can I use zinc anodes instead of aluminum anodes?

Zinc anodes are suitable for brackish or fresh water. In saltwater, aluminum offers superior protection against galvanic corrosion. Always use the material recommended by the engine manufacturer.

What happens if I don't replace the anodes?

Failure to replace the anodes leads to corrosion of the engine's metal components, resulting in breakdowns, malfunctions, and costly repairs. Corrosion can affect the engine block, transmission, cooling system, and other vital components.
