Can I install a 220V socket on a 12V system?

Absolutely not. 220V sockets are designed to be used with an inverter or shore power. Connecting them directly to a 12V system will cause irreparable damage.

What cable size should I use to connect a switch?

The cable size depends on the maximum current that the switch will have to support. Consult the cable size chart based on the current to avoid overheating and voltage drops.

Are waterproof switches really waterproof?

Waterproof switches are designed to resist splashes of water and moisture, but they are not completely waterproof for prolonged immersion. Check the IP protection rating (e.g. IP67) to know the level of water resistance.

How do I know if a switch is compatible with LED lights?

Dimmable switches for LEDs are specifically designed to adjust the light intensity of LED lights without causing flickering or damage. Check that the switch is compatible with LED technology.
