What is the difference between a Dyneema rope and a polyester rope?

Dyneema ropes offer significantly higher tensile strength for the same diameter and minimal stretch, making them ideal for applications such as sheets and halyards. Polyester ropes are more economical and versatile, suitable for mooring, anchoring, and other onboard maneuvers.

How can I protect my Marlow ropes from UV rays?

UV rays can damage rope fibers, reducing their strength. To protect them, you can use protective sleeves or store them in a shaded location when not in use.

What rope diameter should I choose for mooring my boat?

The rope diameter for mooring depends on the size of the boat and the environmental conditions in which you plan to moor. In general, it is advisable to use ropes with a diameter of at least 12 mm for boats up to 10 meters and more robust ropes for larger boats or for mooring in exposed areas.

Are Marlow ropes suitable for offshore sailing?

Yes, Marlow ropes are widely used in offshore sailing for their reliability and strength in extreme marine conditions. In particular, Dyneema ropes are valued for their light weight and low elongation, making them ideal for precision maneuvers.
