45.10 €Single-chamber pumps are more compact and suitable for small inflatable boats or tenders, ideal for occasional use. Double-chamber models, on the other hand, displace a larger volume of air with each pump, reducing inflation times for larger inflatables. Some double-chamber models allow you to select single-chamber mode to reach higher pressures, offering greater versatility.
The manufacturer's recommended operating pressure is usually indicated on the inflatable boat itself, near the inflation valve, or in the user manual. Using a pump with a pressure gauge is essential to monitor the pressure during inflation and not exceed the recommended limit, avoiding damage to the inflatable boat material.
Car tire inflators deliver a limited volume of air at high pressure, which is not suitable for inflatable boats. Using a car tire inflator could damage your inflatable boat. Always use a pump specifically designed for inflatable boats, which delivers a larger volume of air at low pressure, designed for the specific inflation needs of inflatable boats.
If your hand pump becomes difficult to use, it may be necessary to lubricate the moving parts. Check the manufacturer's instructions for proper lubrication. In some cases, it may be necessary to replace the internal seals. If the problem persists, consider replacing the pump.
After each use, clean your hand pump with a damp cloth to remove any traces of sand or salt. Make sure it is completely dry before storing it in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight to prolong its life.
