Is it suitable for my inboard diesel engine?

To ensure compatibility, check the voltage of your system (12V or 24V) and the diameter of the fuel lines. If your diesel engine has a large displacement, carefully check that the valve flow rate is sufficient to ensure adequate flow (available models reach up to 800 l/h).

How do you install a fuel solenoid valve?

Installing a fuel solenoid valve requires disconnecting the existing fuel lines, mounting the solenoid valve in the correct direction (following the arrows indicated on the body), and making the electrical connection to the boat's system. Due to the delicate nature of the operation, it is strongly recommended to rely on an experienced mechanic to avoid leaks, malfunctions, or damage to the system.

What products should I use to clean the fuel circuit?

To clean the fuel circuit, use specific additives, available in bottles to add directly to the tank. These products are formulated to remove deposits, sludge, and impurities, improving engine efficiency and preventing blockages. Carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions for correct use.

What happens if the fuel solenoid valve gets stuck?

If a fuel solenoid valve gets stuck in the closed position, the engine will not receive fuel and will shut down. If it gets stuck in the open position, it may not be possible to stop the fuel flow in an emergency. In both cases, the fuel solenoid valve must be replaced as soon as possible. To prevent blockages, it is advisable to carry out regular maintenance and use clean fuel.

Can I use a fuel solenoid valve to cut off the power in case of theft?

Yes, a fuel solenoid valve can be used as a deterrent against theft. By connecting the solenoid valve to a hidden switch or alarm system, you can cut off the engine's fuel supply and make the boat unusable for thieves.
