The fuel level indicator is connected to the sensor in the tank via two wires: one for the signal and one for the ground. Check the resistance (Ohms) correspondence between the sensor and the instrument. Generally, the most common sensors have resistances that vary between 0-190 Ohm or 240-33 Ohm.
The analog hour meter is simpler and only displays the operating hours. The digital one can offer additional functions such as displaying minutes, storing partial hours, backlighting and, in some cases, the possibility of setting alarms for maintenance.
The trim indicator shows the angle of the outboard engine relative to the transom. Adjusting the trim correctly allows you to optimize the boat's trim, improving efficiency, speed and sailing comfort.
Your engine specifications, such as the number of alternator poles (for the tachometer) or the type of fuel level sensor, are generally found in the engine's user manual. Alternatively, you can contact the engine manufacturer or a specialized mechanic.
